Backend Software Engineer
Every month, we assist over 3 million home seekers in finding their new home. We do this with Pararius.nl and Huurwoningen.nl for home seekers, and with the CRM package Pararius Office for real estate agents. All these labels are part of Treehouse B.V.
Our enthusiastic team of about 80 colleagues operates from our offices in Rotterdam and Breda. Despite our growth, we work in small, multidisciplinary teams, each location having its own goals, allowing for a strong focus on product development. You'll have plenty of freedom to contribute to these efforts.

As a software engineer, you'll be part of the Leadflow Team, collaborating directly with Derk Jan, Shannon, and Bogdan, alongside product owner Alex and UX designer Rachid. This multidisciplinary team (backend, frontend, dev-ops, and UX) is responsible for all our websites where supply and demand meet. Key areas you'll work on include our search engine, daily matching ad delivery, and enabling users to respond to property ads.
Together with your team, you'll design and create solutions using the best-suited technologies. We release these solutions in small iterations, focusing on building new services in the cloud (Google) and aren't afraid to move away from old techniques.
Our tech stack includes PHP, Symfony, React, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and some Python for mail annotation. Our development environments run on Docker Compose, with production orchestrated by Kubernetes.
We automate testing with PHPUnit and Codeception and strive for Continuous Deployment—every release is just one merge button away from production. We're also constantly experimenting with new technologies like Google Cloud Functions.
We don't expect you to master all our techniques and methods right away; we offer ample opportunities to learn.
